So the director of the Columbus Women's Chorus emailed me (I had inquired about open rehearsals) and said, "Well, you can just come tonight, we're learning new stuff!"

Eeek! I don't even have any time to psych myself up! Do I go? Do I not go? Gah, I have anxiety issues.

Do you remember at Philmont, the Philharmonic, or whatever bs we were called. I was a member despite having a very limited vocal range. Before I joined, I was worried that if I was no good, that I would begin to dislike music. Perhaps being forever stuck behind a trumpet, with no words to express. I went and tried it out though, with the help of Traci Davis, and was not as bad as anticipated. When I think back on the time at Philmont, I remember the songs I sang with the others and smile. I was for the summer, a singer, and I was glad to have had the experience.

I hope you go. Of course by now you have already gone or not, so hopefully it was fun.
