Sick

Wow. I haven't been this sick in a long time. I fell into sickness all day yesterday - that gradual sick that lets you know the big sick is coming, but you still fool yourself into thinking stupid things like, "Maybe I'm just tired," or "Maybe it's the weather."

Last night I was so weak I couldn't open the package of DayQuil. I can't afford to be this sick! I have a bazillion things to do today! Argh!

Ugh. The last thing I need is the flu. I think I shall double up on the Freddy Flintstones. But, ugh, my head is SO heavy right now. (Reading 160 back LJfriends entries didn't help, I don't think. Argh!)

Not /entirely/ helpful... but it could be worse... could have been Monday.
Missing work (do you get sick time yet?) is big on the 'I can't afford to' list.

I can't take NyQuil. It does all kinds of weird things to me, because I get a strange reaction to diphenhydramine (or whatever that sleepy antihistamine stuff is called).

the only thing i hate about dayquil is the THIRSTY feeling that you get after taking it. like your whole body has been sucked from any liquid.

There is nothing worse than being sick.

I would rather get kicked in the nuts than punched in the nose, and I would rather get punched in the nose than be sick, if that gives you a little hint on the heirarchy of Things I Don't Like. If there was some sort of miracle cure, where you wouldn't ever be sick for like 10 years, but they had to cut off a finger with no anestes...annestet...ane...novicane, then I'd do it, no question.
