I'm stuck at work without work. I know in my head I should be grateful for these times, because when I have a full caseload I'm going to be a frantic and insane as the rest of my crew (which could come sooner than later, since yet another of my teammates has put in her notice), but for now I can't help but wonder why the clock doesn't move any faster. I'm sure they're not paying me to read LiveJournal and check my email like a madwoman (I actually try to avoid LJ somewhat in case they go berzerk), but I already finished writing holiday cards (did that this morning), and making any phone calls I needed to make. Blargh. Tomorrow's my cover day, and I'm guessing I'd better bring a book or something along with me or I will positively die. There are only so many times I can count the lead paint chips on the wall.

I am so irritated at this guy from eBay right now. Jennifer and I eBayed a "brand new" Sensa pen for Ms. Sarah Carrots for her birthday last month. We waited and waited, and finally he mailed Jennifer a product that was definitely not brand new - it had scratches on it and the sensa part was leaking. She emailed him and he said he made a mistake, and if she sent it back he would send her the right pen and reimburse her for the return shipping. She sent it back and we waited and waited again. And... *drum roll* HE SENT BACK THE SAME EXACT PEN! And didn't refund her shipping. And will not return her emails. This is so ridiculous. Shady people irritate me SO much. I mean, we don't want to give one of our best friends a USED, MESSED UP pen for her birthday! ARGH!

I need to call Bucky and tell him I won't be going to the youth group tonight. While I'm starting to feel better, I don't want to run the risk of a) getting anyone sick, or b) picking up someone else's germs and getting sick AGAIN. I feel bad about not going, because it's an obligation that I stepped up to, but at the same time, I've made sure the other Wednesday volunteer will be there, and ya just gotta take care of #1. My ears feel much less blocked today, but my right ear is still ringing. Still no callback from the doctor. I'm starting to think she hates me. rizzo41 says I need antibiotics, but I'm not sure this is a bacterial infection. I'm hoping the ringing will stop when the congestion is entirely gone. It's driving me absolutely bonkers. (I can still hear perfectly fine, as far as I can tell, so that's something.)

NYC the day after tomorrow. Hooray!

I think there's a plague of assclowns on ebay lately. I just had a twit who didn't respond to my emails for several weeks. The listing said it was supposed to be a 2-pack of pda styli and he sent me one. I couldn't file for a refund because the amount was so low. I finally complained to ebay and they claimed to do something but couldn't tell me what "due to privacy reasons", and lo and behold, the butthead emails me back finally. He claims he's sending me the right item. Over a month after my first email telling him it was the wrong thing.

haha, once i bought a pair of shoes on e-bay that were sold as "mint" condition. when they got here, they were obviously very worn, the soles had been very smashed down, and best of all - they actually had $1.50 written on the bottom of them in black sharpie markie, like they'd been bought from a thrift store in the first place!

oh, and the upshot of that ebay story was, when i contacted the guy to complain, he was like, "i don't know what you're talking about. those are mint condition. if you're new on ebay, you might not understand the terminology or how things are done here."

Oh geeze. That's SO lame.

This guy - I don't know what's up with him. I mean, when she emailed him the first time he sent the pen, he was all apologetic, like he accidentally shipped the wrong one or something, and would send the brand new one right away.

And then the asshat sent the exact same pen. As if someone with an eBay history of selling expensive pens wouldn't know the difference! ARGH!

i've had some bad experiences with eBay too :( that's so fucking sucky. email eBay and tell them about it and they may can get you a refund of some sort

Yeah, The Girl emailed the dude and said if he didn't email her back by Friday, she was going to sic eBay on his ass.
