Come to Oregon with me! I'm flying there April 8, and driving back to NC :)

Oooh, it's so tempting! (Though I doubt I'd be able to drive back, man. I don't get that kind of time off.)

You can ride along with us when we make our annual pilgrimage to Wyoming for fireworks.

Why Wyoming? Are the fireworks better there or something?

Colorado has more stringent fireworks laws than any of the states surrounding it, therefore we go to Wyoming for our annual stash.

Also, there's a Sierra Trading Post outlet in Cheyenne. Last time we went I scored a pair of Stegmann boiled wool clogs there for $20 off the thirds rack.

Not too bad, though I am tired of this freezing weather already. Brrr!

And I don't want to go to work tomorrow, but that is nothing new.

Oh come on, who hasn't been to South Dakota?

Oh right--everybody.

I've never been west of Chicago. :/ Though going to Seattle in the spring hopefully.

Except for, of course, the half a million people who descend upon Sturgis (http://www.sturgismotorcyclerally.com) for four days in August every year...

I stand corrected.

But it's not as if 90% of those people have any memory of being there anyway.

i prefer a meme of countries ive been too, since ironically, i have only been to 5 US states, but over 8 countries.

i've been meaning to go to chicago, but i see illinois is already crossed off :(

I crossed of Illinois because I have driven through. And because I've had layovers in the Chicago airport.

However, I have never /explored/ Chicago, and I really want to. I know that Jen and I were pondering a little Chicago trip in the spring (once it thaws out there), and you are welcome to come!

Chicago is one of my favorite cities..but I still haven't gotten to do a full exploration either..just brief visits to a few neighborhoods.

I'm excited because I get to go up there at the end of February for a day or two to see one of my favorite bands record..but it's gonna be cold.

But if you guys are arranging a little tour group in the spring...I should see if I can tag along too!

You should come!

And Iowa's not far away - there's not much in Iowa - I'd say just drive down, step out of the car, and head back to MN! :)

I've been very fortunate... I used to work at a summer camp in New Mexico, which is how I ended up going to NM and CO and TX. I have relatives in AZ and have visited with family. Jennifer and I went to CA this summer.

But I still have so much territory to cover! I have so many road trips planned in my head: Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, and the one I /really/ want... Seneca Falls, NY! :)

We could totally meet in Seneca Falls - how fun would that be? :)

I would /love/ to go to the March on April 25th, but I don't know if I can pull it off. We have to fly to other states for weddings in May and July, and I don't know if we can come up with the time and/or funds.

I really want to go, though.
