Move over, Bridget Jones!

Today I went out to lunch with my dad. He commented that it looked like I lost some weight. Now, he always says this, and usually it isn't true. But this time I said, 'Yeah, I think so, I can wear some pants I haven't been able to wear comfortably in a while.' I say this while wearing jeans I haven't worn in two years.

Dad says, 'What have you lost - 20 pounds? 30?' I'm all, 'Yeah right, Dad, whatever.'

But I go to Grandma's, to take a shower to go out. I only ever weigh myself here, because no one I know owns a scale (Heavens know I sure don't.). I was last here in March, the middle of March, right after Winter Quarter.

It is 31 August. I am 18 pounds lighter than I was last time I was here.

I kick so much ass.

My smurfy wisdom has been imparted. But seriously, I think it's a fluke.

The other thing is that it's now been a year, a wonderful blissful year, since I stopped taking birth control pills. They were adding weight to me (in the most horrendous of places for my boyish body) like nobody's business.

But seriously - the breakup of my marriage has done wonders on my weight, apparently. I had no idea it was that much. I thought it was 5 pounds.
