I filed my taxes last night and should be expecting a little refund in about two weeks, which is a teeny bit exciting. Jennifer's refund is going to her credit card debt, so I'm trying to think of a way to spend the money that benefits both of us so she gets to enjoy some refund, too. I'm thinking maybe a little road trip sometime soonish. We'll have to see.

I officially have zero energy today, and the extended forecast is ennui. It took sheer force of will to get out of bed this morning and I actually contemplating calling out sick to lay in bed. I haven't slept well in several nights and if this keeps up, I'm going to have to start going to Becoming Men Together.

I'm in a quandary about chorus because I'm still unsettled about the music, and now Daina (and probably Brandie too) is going to quit which makes it even less appealing. The weather is grey and rainy and I keep trying to perk myself up by saying, "At least it's warmer and not snowing," but it's not really working. My lunch is heavy on the carbs (it was easy to grab) and that's probably not going to help the energy level in the long run, and my afternoon appointment cancelled on me.

It's an out-of-sync sort of day, I suppose, and I just wish I was home sleeping. Or that I had remembered to bring pop-tarts. Pop-tarts make everything better.

I fooled with our taxes all night last night and still didn't get them done. The business and the house add a lot of crap. Megan has to pay about $150 to the state. Nobody who makes as little as she did should ever have to write a check for taxes. She broke even with the feds ($16 back yee frickin haw). I put the business and house on mine, so I'm going to be getting the cash back. It's going directly to the credit card bill. We're trying to have the beast payed off in the next few months (then my student loans kick in).

I had one of those mornings where I woke up refreshed too early, went back to sleep and then woke up at a bad spot in my sleep cycle when the alarm went off. I'm having french fries for lunch and looking forward to it with relish. Not relish on the french fries, tho.

Is there a night this week y'all might be free for some dinner or other fun visit?

When I was younger and in school and working part time, I /always/ had to pay a lot of taxes because my grandparents keep money in my name that would generate obscene amounts of interest. I used to get so frustrated!

Now I balance it out a bit because my income is higher and because interest rates have been so low. Whee.

As for dinner or whatever... Jen volunteers tonight, I volunteer tomorrow, I work until 8:30 on Thursday. What's Friday like?

Okay. Hrm. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday are always out. Well, not Mondays if I quit chorus, but for now I'm still in.

Thursday night TV? Do you watch Survivor?

We usually go to P&Es on Thursday to watch the NBC shows, but they have been very re-runny of late and rather annoying. I like survivor, but haven't watched in a coupla years. I'm a little afraid to get sucked back into the vortex.

I am really hoping to get my taxes done in the next few weeks. I think I have all the paperwork now (I was waiting for a form from my student loans), so I just have to sit down and do it.

Congrats on getting yours done! Enjoy your refund!

I know I'm a nerd and all, but I love doing my taxes. I love filling out forms and doing accounting. Maybe I'm in the wrong field.

Well being out-of-sync is ALWAYS better than being 'N-sync!

Hope you feel better after lunch... you should go out for coffee, that always makes me upbeat and sort of speedy, of course that is why I rarely drink it!

You know, I've always had a secret desire to be in a boy band...

I /should/ get a coffee. I have to run to the post office, and maybe I will stop at Starbucks on the way back!

Yeah...I'm not really digging this new stuff we're doing in choir. There are a few parts where the interplay between the rhythms of the parts gets interesting, but for the most part I find the music boring, with little sense of melody. I might give it one more try, and then just tell Jean (my section leader) I want to sit this one out.

What are your inclinations about staying in at this point?

I'm going to email my section leader about it. She's a cool girl, I hope she'll have some good feedback.
