Overwhelmed
Feb. 13th, 2004 11:55 amI shouldn't even be typing this because I have too many things to do. Being in training for three out of five days this week has really turned me upside-down, because I haven't been able to do paperwork when I'd like to. (I tend to do it right away, because otherwise I forget things.) When I don't get to do things when I want to, I get wrapped up in other things and don't know what's been done and what hasn't. I think I straightened some of that up today.
I was given a really hard case on Wednesday that is going to take a lot of my time. It apparently took the Intake worker a lot of time, too, because the paperwork got to me WAY LATE and now I have a case plan and risk assessment due in a week (one normally has about 3 weeks for such things). This is insanity!
But what's more insane is that there was /another/ new case on my desk this morning. With three more kids.
Hooray for the weekend, but I can't shake the feeling that the extra day off is putting me even further behind. Ugh.
