I finished Stardust by Neil Gaiman today. What a wonderfully magical story. It even, for a very split second, made me think that I might want to fall in love again someday.

For a very split second. And then it was gone.

But my goodness, Mr. Gaiman, you are amazing. You make my little heart soar with your beautiful dreams that I get to be a part of. And Kristofer, thank you so much for sending it to me. It was a wonderful, vibrant, uplifting ride.

I have one book left that I haven't read. Manifesta. My NY book. Hopefully I will get it done by the time school starts on the 19th.

I have the interview for the assistantship with GLBTSS tomorrow afternoon, then I have to race to work to catch a couple clients. Whee. I need to remember to call my boss in the morning and ask him what next quarter's schedule is, so I can make appointments for tomorrow's clients. La la la. Work tomorrow, work Thursday, Friday off, then it's off to the City. THANK GOODNESS.

I washed all of my clothes at Grandma's and hung them outside. Now my Pillow of Angsty Love smells like clothesline, and it is wonderful. I think it's time to go to bed and sniff my pillow and think of people who care about me. Yes, that sounds quite nice indeed. If my phone rang, that would be pretty cool, too.

How we ended up doing it was we got the novel first, and loved it, and then we got the picture books :-)

I liked the pictures a lot. But the first reading was better without the pictures, in my opinion.

Except for the fact that my picture of Tristan looked suspiciously like the Sandman...

Aha.

Having never looked at a Sandman graphic novel, I don't know what he looks like.

I have a picture in my head of Tristran, but my favorite mental picture is the one I have of Yvaine. And I'm afraid to taint it with pictures, but I still want to at least peek at the picture book.

I am still loving the novel, even now, even as it becomes memory.
