I haven't done a survey in a million years. I stole this one from [livejournal.com profile] wendywoohoo and my Labortine [livejournal.com profile] laurajones.

1. What is your middle name?

My given middle name is "Anne," and my confirmation name is "Andrea." Either is fine with my given name (Judith), but not together. If I ever legally changed my name to Jude (doubtful), I would probably change my middle name to something else that begins with A. Suggestions?

2. If you had been born the other sex, did your parents tell you what your name would have been?

I've never asked. But repetitive names and initials are pretty important in my family, and I imagine I could have been named after my grandfather and uncle. In which case I would have been Joseph Auguste III.

3. Do you have children and if so, what are their names?

I have two fuzzy cat children. Their names are Reverend Daedalus Kitty and Ralphie Doodle Kitty, respectively.

4. If you were to ever have a child or more children, what would you name them?

Griffin. Jackson. Chance. Gabriel. Rhyse for my dear departed roleplay husband of yore. Sean. Avery. Max. Chase.

Mix and match as needed. Gender optional.

5. Most people know their mother's maiden name, but do you know your grandmothers' maiden names?

MGM - Claire Bouchard, I think. Not sure. Maybe?
PGM - Antoinette Wispianski.

6. Did you have an imaginary friend as a child?
Not that I know of. But I used to imagine that I was related to the Curtis boys in The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton.

7. What was the name of your first pet?
We had a cat named Snowflake and a dog named Hawkeye.

The first pet I ever had myself was a goldfish named Fish. And then I had two more goldfish named Alf and Pee-Wee Herman. Yeah, give me a break.

8. What was the name of the first person you ever kissed?

Heath Charron. Kindergarten. I saw him again at age 17 and he was a serious hottie.

9. What was the name of the school you attended as a child?

Our Lady Queen of Martyrs, later renamed Monsigner Gadoury Regional

10. What was/is the name of your English teacher(s) in high school?

9th grade - Mr. Donald Hogue; 10th grade - Ms. Charlotte Dominique; 11th grade - Sr. Jackie Crepeau; 12th grade - Mr. Steve Shea.

11. Do you name your vehicles? What are the name(s)?

The first car I ever named was my [livejournal.com profile] smurfbrother's first car, which I lovingly named The Bass-o-matic. Mmm, that's teriffic bass!

I had a 1986 Mercury Topaz for about a minute when I graduated from high school, and I never named it. The first vehicle that was actually mine (I bought it myself with my own money, man!) was a black 1987 Jeep Cherokee that people affectionately referred to as the D.A.V. (Dyke Assault Vehicle). I believe my brother dubbed it thusly based on the fact that the only tape in the stereo was an Ani DiFranco mix tape.

When I had to get rid of the D.A.V. because of her failing health, I got my 1998 Nissan Sentra that is named Gargamel.

Okay, that was fun. When's lunch?

1. What is your middle name?

I don't have one. Neither does my sister or my father. With a last name that's 12 letters long, I didn't need another name. My confirmation name is Anastasia. I picked the longest name that I could find, just to spite my parents and their no-middle-name logic.

Funny thing about my dad and not having a middle name. My dad has the same first and last name as his uncle did, and neither of them have a middle name. When my dad went to go get a loan for a home (back before they used SSN's all the time for stuff like that) they refused him for a loan because the bank's records said that he was dead. Apparently, they were trying to use the same bank that his uncle used before he died.

2. If you had been born the other sex, did your parents tell you what your name would have been?

The situation was the same for my sister and I. If we were girls, they had a name picked out that they were absolutely sure of. If we were boys, they had no idea what they were going to name us. It's a good thing we were girls, or I might have spent my life being called, "hey you."

3. Do you have children and if so, what are their names?

I have three fuzzy children named Joe, Luke and Anthony. I have a fuzzy stepchild named Little Orange Cat.

4. If you were to ever have a child or more children, what would you name them?

I have no idea. I haven't even thought about it much.

5. Most people know their mother's maiden name, but do you know your grandmothers' maiden names?

There are Hines or Hynes or Haynes somewhere in my mom's side. Besides that, I have no clue.

6. Did you have an imaginary friend as a child?

No, but I wanted one.

7. What was the name of your first pet?

Fred the frog. There were many Freds.

8. What was the name of the first person you ever kissed?

I don't remember who it was, but I kissed the back of a boy's hand under a table in kindergarden.

9. What was the name of the school you attended as a child?

Hickory Bend Elementary School (K-4)
Heritage Middle School (5-8)

10. What was/is the name of your English teacher(s) in high school?

Dr. Hertz
Mrs. Witting
Mr. Bill Hudson
Mr. Mlynarczyk

(maybe not in that order)

11. Do you name your vehicles? What are the name(s)?

Hell yes! My first car (a '90 Ford Tempo) was named Floyd. My current car (a '03 Toyota Corolla) is named Maggie. Her flight attendant (my radar detector that says, "welcome, buckle your seatbelt" when you turn the car on) is named Wendy.

dude.

1. What is your middle name?

(clears throat) Loyd. One "l." Don't ask, because I don't know. I do know that he was a grandfather, and it's an old family name.

2. If you had been born the other sex, did your parents tell you what your name would have been?

My mother once mentioned Christine -- I can't remember a specific name, because she always wished that of the two of us, I would have been a girl. I remember the conversation, and I remember not liking the name. My sister has an old family name, but somehow that wasn't good enough for the first born...

3. Do you have children and if so, what are their names?

For those that know me, can you imagine me with a child?

I had a cat in college that I named Eddy (she would scream in heat whenever I did my James Brown impersonation for guests, especially the hot tub sequence. Again, don't ask).

4. If you were to ever have a child or more children, what would you name them?

Haven't thought about it. Now that I have, nothing comes to mind. I would avoid the names that other kids would deride in school, because I know I made fun of those kids....

5. Most people know their mother's maiden name, but do you know your grandmothers' maiden names?

My Mother's Mother was Elizabeth, and my Father's Mother was... can't remember. She hated me, so I don't think I would have asked when she was alive.

6. Did you have an imaginary friend as a child?

At first I wanted to say "yes," but now I'm not as certain. I spent a lot of time as a child nose-deep in any reading material that I could find, so there was a lot of quality alone time to dream one up, but I guess not. Star Wars held my attention that I might have conjured up a Wookie or some Han Solo figure as a partner in crime.

7. What was the name of your first pet?

(Here we go.) The first pet I remember was a dacshund named Ginger. Ginger was a high strung little thing, bent on hyper-spastic romps in the mid afternoon, tearing from one end of the house to the other, often stopping mid-stride to stare at you and wonder, as deeply as any dog can wonder, why you were laughing your head off.

I was very young, so I remember more about our second pet, named Doobie. Yes, you read that right. My sister named him after shortening the Scooby Doo from the afternoon cartoon that she liked so much. Only now does she see the errors of her ways....

8. What was the name of the first person you ever kissed?

Ugh. I can't remember... only because there were so many. :P It was either Kim Webber or Whitney Ferman. It was kindergarten, so give me a break. I was quite the socialite back then....

9. What was the name of the school you attended as a child?

Craig Elementary School. Only person to attend that skipped class one day after a fight with a friend. They didn't even know I left -- ran out during outdoor recess. My father was at home that day, and didn't realize that I was not supposed to be at home at 12:00 in the afternoon. I even left a note on my desk. My fourth grade teacher still talks about it to this day....

10. What was/is the name of your English teacher(s) in high school?

All I did in high school was English, so this could be fun.

Mr. Goode, Mrs. Berk, Mr. Wholberg, Dr. Moceri, Mrs. Eichorn, Dr. Osburg... there are others that I can't think of, but I'm sure they don't mind.

11. Do you name your vehicles? What are the name(s)?

Nope, but other people have named them. Well, at least one was named by a friend. I had a mid eighties Volvo station wagon, and a friend, noticing the vent restrictors looked like oreo cookies, called it Oreo. I think that's it. My mother liked to name her vehicles when I was a child. The great huge Buick Regal Custom was called Bertha.

That was kind of fun.

So, my friend Googled my name to see what would come up....weird, I know. Anyway, I'm in this little questionnaire as the possible first kiss candidate, and I'm not Kim Webber....hmmmmm. Who are you? My memory fails me, I probably kissed a lot of boys in Kindergarten too being quite the flirt, like you remember! AND, the anticipation is just overwhelming......kidding. But I really would like to know, I think I might have a good guess. E-mail me back if you get this!:)

I screened your comment because you had my last name in it, and I try to keep my last name off the internet as much as possible (or at least off this journal). But I didn't want to delete it, so I just made it disappear! *POOF*

Both Jennifer and I are attached to our last names, and they don't combine well at all. But thanks for the trivia on the Dresloughs, though - that is an awesome idea! We'll probably end up keeping our names, and hyphenating our kids' names. This is very unfortunate for our children, since my last name has 7 letters and hers has 9.
