I have absolutely no idea what we're going to do this evening. I feel like I want to do /something/, but I don't have the energy or the desire to actually come up with something to do. It's one of those days where I think I must not want to do something that badly, because everything sounds so "eh" to me. Suggestions?

Today Jennifer and I finally got to go to the Franklin Park Conservatory to see the Chihuly exhibit and the butterfly exhibit. We've wanted to see the Chihuly stuff for quite some time. Honestly, I can't imagine the Conservatory without the glasswork. I'm glad Daina and Curt wanted to go - it motivated us to actually head out there.

It's been so long since I took pictures that I made sure to take a billion of them. I'm so discouraged, though. There was so much beauty there but I don't feel like I took good pictures. I wish I had a better eye for beautiful set-ups like, say, jennbits or pattisimmons or sudrin. I'm going to make Jennifer upload them all to Shutterfly, and then maybe I'll clean up a couple of my favorites to post here. Laaaaaazy.

There's a posting on craigslist right now for an apartment that's a 7 minute walk from Porter Square that is 2BR and 2 offices, and is in our price range, /and/ is being rented by a gay couple with children. Real gay people! That would be really neat. We should get in touch with them. 2 bedrooms and 2 offices would be really nice.

In more exciting news, WILLIAM HUNG'S ALBUM COMES OUT NEXT WEEK!! With a bonus DVD!!

Porter Square rawks! My best friend is moving back to Boston this summer and I'm trying to get him into a place in the Porter/Davis area. And it's close to me too!

I really like the Davis area even though it's kind of trendy now. Jen's working on trying to get a job at Montblanc at Copley, so really, I wouldn't mind finding anything in the Somerville/Cambridge/Brighton/Brookline area. And I still have a fondness for my old neighborhood, too.

The Savin Hill/Jones Hill area of Dorchester

I'm not *too* familiar with Dot. What's that area like? Comparable to anywhere else in the city that I'd be more familiar with? What part of the T services it? Orange line?

Savin Hill is the first stop on the Red Line after it splits at JFK/UMASS - it's on the Ashmont line. As for what it's comparable to, that's a good question - especially since I haven't been there since 1998.

I guess it has a reputation of being dangerous (they used to call it Stab 'n Kill back in the day, I guess), but like most of that area, it's become pretty gentrified. I guess it's sort of similar to JP in that respect, but it hasn't gotten /that/ posh. I suppose it's closest Boston relative is Southie.

HA! That's funny. I suppose I should change "in our price range" to "what I'm resigned to pay" - and that's between $1200 and $1300/month.
