Me too! All of the glasswork was so beautiful and really seemed to enhance the greenery. I remember commenting, "Wow. I can't imagine this without the glass. It would be a bunch of plants."
I was lucky enough to have caught a Chihuly exhibit in Orlando while Matt was visiting me down there for the weekend in January. I really, really love his works, and have been a fan for quite a while. Good photos!
I really liked his stuff! I wasn't at all familiar with him before, but I saw a commercial on television or something and was definitely drawn to him. I love glass stuff.
We have a gallery here in Columbus that is all glass art. It's my favorite one.
I agree with you about glassblowing - it is so awesome. And the colors are so pretty, it's like you can't help being in a good mood. He is the greatest, and I look forward to seeing more of his work in the future. It was so cool to see his sculptures interspersed with plants.
I love his work! When I was in Seattle, it was great, since he's from the Northwest, there was always an exhibit somewhere. He also did the Rose Window at Pacific Lutheran University, where a few of my friends went to college.
Every time I see it, I see something different about it. He's awesome.
