Tonsil Drama 2004

Okay, so my left tonsil is swollen. It's not so much that the average person on the street would notice, but I sure do. And it's sore, and the inside of my mouth is inflamed.

This makes me nervous as hell. My tonsils (especially the left one) are prone to abcesses and the last time this happened I ended up hitting the ER at 2am because the damned thing was so big my throat was going to close. I don't really have the time to deal with something serious (like needing a tonsillectomy) right now, so I'd just like to wake up tomorrow morning and have it be all better. Please?

Is anybody up there listening?

I'm listening. And have the same problems. My tonsils are still (permanently?) swollen. I used to get strep every three months or so. Next time it happens, drs are gonna yank both of 'em. I actually have a hole in my left tonsil from the last abcess I had. I feel your pain, Jude. I do. Gargle with TONS of salt water.

At this point, I'm ready to say, "Take the effing things." Especially while I still have health insurance, you know?

We are Abcessed Tonsil Twins. I am 28 years old, for crying out loud. Shouldn't this have happened 16 years ago or something??!?!
