Busy day!

I must have been channelling the spirit of [livejournal.com profile] saltypony, who mentioned today that she feels like a slacker when she doesn't have her whole day budgeted. I hardly stopped at all today!

Work was pretty busy, even though it was Cover Day and my CDs have been pretty mellow as of late. I have court hearings tomorrow and Monday, so I was preparing for all of that and setting up some appointments for tomorrow and next week. I pretty much worked on court stuff all the way to 5:00, and then headed for a home visit who stood me up. This is especially infuriating because the same family stood me up on Monday and specifically rescheduled for today. ARGH!

So I went home, got on my bike, and went for a decent ride. I headed downtown on the Olentangy Trail, but part of it is under construction so I took a hilly detour to the other side of the river (the COSI side). I spent some time sitting on the stone steps in Genoa Park (aka Jazz and Rib Fest park) watching some little sk8punks, and then rode back. I was completely exhausted, as I am woefully out of shape.

When I got home, Jen was home and we headed to Tarjay to get a wedding shower gift for [livejournal.com profile] communista and [livejournal.com profile] foopirate. I was craving Mexican food, so we decided to go to El Vaquero (or Brenda Vacaro, if you're [livejournal.com profile] binkiegirl) and conned Peas and Carrots to come with. We're watching the wabbits for them this weekend, so we went back to their place and got keys and wabbit instructions. They taped Survivor for us while we were eating, so we took the tape and came home. We watched Survivor (so sad) and then Season3Ep3 of QaF. And here I am.

I have gotten some sun in the last couple of days. Hello, pink cheeks! I have also gotten some fat in the last year. Hello, ass! ;)

Mmmmm

B's riding in the park, getting a tan. Gotta love daylight savings time.

I'm a big fan of the DST. Who needs sunlight in the morning when I'm asleep? I want daytime until 9pm. That's what I'm talking about.

You are a big bicycler man and my cheap-o bike would make you weep.

But at least you're out riding, which, according to the media reports, is better than 70% of the population.

I wish I could ride a bit more, but my ankle is not 100% yet.

My knees are bad. Biking is currently okay and doesn't bother me much, but probably because I get too tired and stop before I'm actually wearing out my knee.

I'm trying to get more freakin' active, but of course it ends up raining every day instead. ARGH!

When will your ankle be 100%?

The ankle will come back, but not until I can afford physical therapy again. I can walk, but not much more.
