Two Truths and a Lie: Answers
Apr. 23rd, 2004 12:12 pmI'm going to put the answers behind an lj-cut in case there are some people who haven't taken the little quiz and still want to. I admit that this was pretty tough. I don't know that I realized /how/ tough until my Jennifer was griping about it. Oops. So here ya go! :)
The first person I met from LiveJournal was happy2beso.
LIE. The first person I met from LiveJournal was
kungfoogirl, in early September 2001. Surprised? Sure, she was my brother's ex-girlfriend, and we had a lot of Internet friends in common, and we ended up smooching a lot, but we'd never met. Hee. (The majority selected this.)
My brother's nickname is Rutabaga.
TRUTH. Well, that was my brother's internet name for a long time. So yeah, I still call him that. I'm a dork.
I don't like talking on the telephone.
TRUTH. I actually really dislike talking on the telephone, especially when I've been at work all day. Because, you know, I do a lot of talking at work. So yeah, if I rush you off the phone, it's not because I don't like you. =P
~//~
My default cell phone ringtone is "The Way I Am" by Eminem.
TRUTH. That's the default ring for calls with callerID. Calls without callerID get defaulted to "Get Busy" by Sean Paul.
My favorite fast food restaurant is Subway.
LIE. My favorite fast food restaurant is very obviously Chipotle. (The majority chose this.)
I used to be a Boy Scout.
TRUTH. I absolutely was a Boy Scout. I was a member of the National Council in 1997 and 1998. Registering with a local or National Boy Scout Council was a requirement of employment at Philmont Scout Ranch, the mecca of Boy Scouts.
~//~
My favorite television show of all time is Jeopardy!
TRUTH. While I do have an obsession with Survivor (which may have tripped up some people), my favorite show of all time is Jeopardy! Bring it.
I met RuPaul.
LIE. I saw him speak at OSU, and I sat in the front row, but I was guarding the entry to the backstage area where he was receiving visitors, and this, I did not meet him myself. I waved and smiled.
I love pineapple on pizza.
TRUTH. The majority of people chose this. Why? WHY??!?!? Pineapple on pizza is the GREATEST THING EVAR! You fools. It is so delicious. Pineapple is my favorite pizza topping.
~//~
I have a Masters of the Universe lunchbox.
TRUTH. It was my ex-husband's in school. He left it when he moved out. It's downstairs with the Smurf lunchbox and the A-Team lunchbox.
My first career aspiration was professional baseball player.
TRUTH. I was about 7 or 8 years old. Give me a frickin' break! I wanted to be the first female player in Major League Baseball.
I have never pierced anything below the neck.
LIE. I got my left nipple pierced in 1996, and it remained pierced until 1998. It had started migrating like mad, until I had a tiny little hoop in it from my eyebrow. Eventually it just migrated too much. Wanna see the scar? ;) (The majority chose this one.)
So there you have it. How'd you do? I'm impressed with the majority - going by majority answers, ya got 3 out of 4. Yay!

Date: 2004-04-23 04:34 pm (UTC)Wanna know how I rememberd that you like pineapple on pizza? We were sitting at Chipotle (hee) with the Bink and the Peej, and I'd only just met you in person a few hours before. And you asked me if I liked hawaiian pizza. With ham and pineapple and stuff. It's ok, and I'll eat it. But I am a plain pepperoni-only kinda girl. And so I hesitated when you asked, and gave a rather meek, "yeah, it's ok." And the Bink thought it was so funny because it was one of those things that people do when they aren't sure how someone they like is going to react to an answer. Very much a "new relationship" kind of thing.
So. Yeah. That should have helped me answer 2 of the questions.
And I got confused if it was baseball of basketball that you wanted to play. Because I remember the story about you and your dad playing basketball in the rain and how you decided that you shouldn't have to wear a shirt since the boys didn't.
See. I pay attention. ;)

Date: 2004-04-23 04:48 pm (UTC)I missed only the Subway/Chipotle question. Since I've never been to a Chipotle, I frequently forget they exist. Had I remembered, I'm sure I would've gotten it right. Jeopardy! is not my favorite show, so I picked that hoping you liked sandwiches but not smarmy moustache-less Alex. :)
Professor Baga has a certain ring to it. Wonder what he'd do if one of his students called him that. I mean other than blame us.
