Nope. She's an undergrad engineering student from India. Her parents are in India and her older brother is in Texas. He is basically responsible for her stateside. He was definitely very paternal when he called me, which gave me the giggles later when I found out he was 25!

She really is a sweet girl. I think I'll even email her back.

Well, since her parents live in India, I'm sure her brother (her only sibling) has been charged with pretty much all of the responsibility of taking care of her. But yeah, it's pretty different. She's been in the US for about a year now, and she said it's definitely different than what she grew up with.
