Okay, weird.
May. 27th, 2004 07:13 pmSo this morning I woke up and noticed that our internet was still not working at home. When I called Time Warner last night, they ran some test and determined that the modem was fried. (No surprise, it's been going in and out for about a month.) I futzed with it a little and called it, a la John Carter. This afternoon I called the cable company to cancel the service since, well, it's not working anyway.
I packed a bunch of stuff when I got home from work and ignored the office, so I wouldn't feel sad and internet-less.
And then I came into the office to throw out some stuff, and I saw the happy and familiar blinking orange activity light on the cable modem. HOORAY!
Free internet! (Until they really come and shut it off, that is.)
