Frustration, party of one.
Jul. 6th, 2004 12:41 pmI went to bed around 2:30am but woke up in the morning to wake Jen up. She asked me to wake her up at 9:00. I've got a pretty good internal clock about all things morning (and it helps to have pesky cats), so I woke up at 8 and then consciously dozed until 9 to wake her up. She promptly told me she wanted to sleep until 9:30 and rolled over. I got up, fed the cats, and puttered around the apartment. Frustration, party of one.
I've started calling office temp agencies now that my 30-day mark of joblessness has passed and the holiday weekend is over. I have an appointment with Tim's temp agency (do you get any kind of referral bonus, Tim?) on Thursday morning for testing and such. (I will blow them away with my overqualified office-ness.) Every other temp agency has told me that they are full for the summer and are recruiting for the fall. Damn you, college students. Frustration, party of one.
A job that I wasn't very jazzed about that I interviewed for when we first moved here called to ask if I was still looking for work. They want to check my references. It was quite depressing to tell them that I was still looking, especially because I wasn't terribly jazzed about the job, it paid really poorly, and they took A MONTH to get back to me about references. Frustration, party of one.
Once Jen gets back from her interview, we need to get a wedding card, a wedding gift idea, wedding clothing, and sheets for the new bed that has not arrived and will likely arrive when we are out of town. At least I finally got my last mileage check from my last job. Whee!

Date: 2004-07-07 04:35 am (UTC)It's just hard, because I'm definitely feeling the suck of slackerness brought on by feelings of uselessness.
