In no particular order:
  • There is a benefit to taking the same goofy computer skills tests at multiple temp agencies - namely, that you will get 100% on them by the time you get to the last one.

  • The good thing about most of Boston deserting for the DNC is that I should at the very least find temp work.

  • If restaurant food didn't taste so yummy, I would be so less inclined to spend money on it.

  • I will always prefer Dunkin Donuts over Starbucks, except for the Starbucks gift card I got as a going-away present from my last job.

  • Did I mention that I didn't get the City Year job? Because I didn't. Although I have a second interview for one of the Early Intervention jobs, and [livejournal.com profile] vorpalbla says I've got a good chance by the sound of things.

  • Jen and I are sleeping at my grandparents' house tonight. I'm not sure how the sleeping arrangements will be, or how awkward. (But I wonder what they'll do when we're married, heh.)

  • Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] folkyboy, we had yummy pizza for dinner. Tim = yay++

  • Notable fact: I am one of those people who will talk to strangers in public places. If that bothers you, you might not want to go in public with me. :)

  • I want to eat more healthily, and yet I refuse to give up ice cream. I am an ice creamaholic.

  • There will not be Internet goodness this weekend. Miss me lots.

I would, but we'll be in Missouri all weekend because my [livejournal.com profile] smurfbrother is having a wedding reception.

Happy (and less dramatic than last time) visiting!!

Gretchen and I also wondered the other day what your sleeping arrangements would be like at Grandma's if you and Jen got married, especially if G and I were there. We decided you'd be SOL because a) you live in Boston and can go home and sleep in your own bed, and b) I'm older.

But what I really wanted to say is that you can use the net at our place anytime.

when Steve and I were engaged, the week before our wedding, even knowing that I was going to visit him for a week or more at a time, and that we had stayed in hotels together, my mother still put us in separate bedrooms. I was living at their place, having shut down my life in anticipation of moving, and I was sleeping on the *floor* of my old bedroom, but that didn't matter; Steve went into my father's bedroom (dad has a doctor-prescribed bed that puts my mother in agony) and we were kept away from each other at night like I was a demure victorian maiden (I had been living with someone for 4 years, I was 22, and steve was about my 10th partner).

When I went to my parents' new place, they had a room with a futon in it, and Mom actually said to me, "When you and Chris come visit, you can stay in here. I hope it's long enough for him." Major victory.

When you guys are back in town we should make plans for you guys to come over for dinner again - especially since William has been experimenting with his new ICE CREAM MAKER. :) So we'll make a very healthy dinner and then have ice cream. It'll be great. :)

We also have an ice cream maker, but I've never made ice cream in it. (It was a wedding gift, if that gives you any idea how long I've had it. I'm so lazy.)

But we would love to have yummy food and ice cream with you. We also owe you a dinner! :)

We already had one...but this one has it's own compressor so it
actually fully freezes the ice cream. William has been making ice
cream like crazy. :)

I'm not actually sure when we're free....I'll check and email you.
