Last night was a little meetup at [livejournal.com profile] diesel_cafe that we decided to hit up at the last minute. [livejournal.com profile] being_homeless organized it as a support of sorts for Diesel, since apparently its lease is in jeopardy (sans Alex Trebek) due to upbidding by a national chain. It was a pretty good time, except that all things money give me anxiety these days as the savings dwindles further into oblivion - so when the peeps decided to head to a restaurant for snackies, I figured it was time to go home. I offered Jen the opportunity to stay, but she wanted to leave with me. Sweet - I got the girl!

I met some pretty cool peeps, including [livejournal.com profile] virgomochabeing whom Tim talks about all the time (although, with Tim's accent, I thought her name was 'virgomochabean' all this time), and [livejournal.com profile] kaiaroo. There were some other people, too, including a girl named Stephanie and a boy named (I think) Aaron. They have LJs (because really, who doesn't? right [livejournal.com profile] zuzubailey76?) but I don't know what their names are. Some people from various Somerville newspapers came to write a little article and ended up taking a lot of close-up photos. So perhaps I will be a \m/ Somerville Rockstar \m/ or something. (But I didn't want to give the dude my last name. He said I had to. But I get nervous about giving my last name around because I don't really ever want, say, clients to find me out of work.) Someone will have to check the Somerville News (Somerville Journal? Somerville Times? Whatever) and see if I'm famous!

Speaking of famous, virgomochabeingNatt was admiring my 'the binary gender system sucks' tshirt and it gave me an opportunity to pimp my favorite [livejournal.com profile] technodyke! (Dear gods, S, I have such a goofy rockstar teenage crush on you.)

I forgot my camera, though, so couldn't take any photos. But Crystal did!

p.s. I want that job.
p.p.s. I think I'm getting a bit of a cold.
p.p.s.s. I miss our old [livejournal.com profile] columbus meetups at Vic's.

Some people have blogger things instead of LJs. But they are dumb.

You know that standard scene in sitcoms (&c.) where an old person uses hopelessly archaic slang and/or bungles the new words for things? Yeah, that's me online. So what's a \m/ anyway? Some kind of weird sidways <3 or something?

Fingers crossed? Hmm.

Definitely a rock star gesture, but not the one I was going for.

Vm

Can you hear me now?

oll/

O-Tay!

I have no clue what that is. I guess I'm not cut out to be a rock star. Oh well.
