I must be crazy. I volunteered to take over a therapeutic play group for a woman who's leaving. That leaves me in charge of two assistant teachers and 9 children under 3 with developmental delays. I suppose now isn't the time to mention that I don't really know anything about how to do my job. =P
Got to go to a group dinner with some folks, which was nice but gives me stress. Every time we do something we can't afford, I get stressed out. And we can't afford anything. Jen's first day of work was today, so who knows when we will have more than my piddly income. My income is enough to pay the rent and the student loans. That leaves the utilities (gas and electric), phone, cell phones, car loan, car insurance, T pass, gas for the car, groceries, Netflix, cable and internet, credit card bill, and anything else I'm forgetting. (Gosh, I hope I'm not really forgetting anything.) I wonder if we'll ever make enough to money to go out and do fun things. I really just hope we're going to pull in enough to cover all of the bills. If we have to dip into the remaining savings every month just to cover bills, I think I will become a wallowing pit of despair.
I need to start looking for a part-time job, I think. I just don't know where to look. Or where I'm going to get the energy. Spending 40+ hours/week working with kids under 3 really sucks all of the energy out of you. It's hard work being all YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE all the time!
