Underpantseriffic
Aug. 15th, 2004 10:18 amDr. Chris arrived a bit late, which was actually pretty good because it gave me more time to clean, do some things I've wanted to do for some time, and unwind a bit in front of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? which I've had out from Netflix for at least a month and really want to get out of my living room. I got about halfway through when he arrived, so now I must watch the other half.
Because he was delayed, though, and because we got a little stalled getting out to where we wanted to eat, and because Adams Street is closed in Lower Mills so we had to detour, and because the service was kind of slow in the restaurant that used to be The Naked Fish but now was Red Sauce, and because we had to race back up to JFK/UMASS to pick Jen up, and because everyone was exhausted, we never made it to Quinn's birthday party. I feel kind of bad about that, but now I am on a mission to make it up to herin other ways.
I think we all fell asleep by midnight. Hence, we are old.
Chris and I had such a good time at dinner. I feel like I connect with him on so many levels - good, open, honest communication, brain-challenging topics of conversation, free-flowing reciprocal interchange of energy. I just [heart] him so much.
He just walked through my apartment in his underpants! Eeeeeek! (That's two pairs of underpants this weekend. I also saw Wiley's underpants through a hole in his shorts yesterday. Underpantseriffic!!)

Date: 2004-08-15 03:43 pm (UTC)I dunno. I think technically Wiley is someone else's boy.

Date: 2004-08-15 11:21 pm (UTC)Oh and I don't know if Boston Libraries let you reserve dvds, but you might check it out. Cols does it and it's way easy to do and doesn't cost a thing. Highly recommend trying it-- saves a lot of money!

Date: 2004-08-17 02:32 am (UTC)I don't mind paying for Netflix though, as long as I get off my butt and watch the movies. I'd rather pay for Netflix than cable, because I like watching movies and I loooooove having them mailed to me!

Date: 2004-08-16 01:38 am (UTC)oh and speaking of underpants, a few people left when h was passed out on my bed, so they peeked in to say goodbye- h was lying on her stomach, half on the bed and only slightly covered by a sheet. she waved and said, "byyyyeeeee evvverybody!" in her panties and bra. it was pretty adorable. and if you knew what she looked like, you'd know it was more than just adorable. she's hot.

Date: 2004-08-17 02:35 am (UTC)What impressed me was that I continued to be engaged by it even though I had to split it into two days of watching due to company. Usually if I have to shut a DVD off in the middle it's hard for me to want to turn it back on later and find my spot.
I would definitely watch it again - I really really liked it. I also think you should come over and do that speech for forensics in my living room.
ENCORE! ENCORE!
