Yay! I love those communities. They make me feel less alone in my SVU obsession. If I didn't have such a slow connection at home, I'd spend a lot more time looking at screencap fics.

I have never read and fic. In fact, the whole idea of fic kind of creeps me out, but I realize that there are a number of great people in the world (you and my smoochie included) who like the stuff.

I'm really only into Josh/Donna West Wing fic and Alex/Olivia fic. I admit it is a bit, um, obsessive, but once in a while, I need more than than Longing Stares and Unresolved Sexual Tension from my two favorite TV couples.
