Tomorrow is Grandparents' Day. And while this is a total Hallmark holiday, and therefore should be at least somewhat despised, maybe it's a good time to remember how cool grandparents are.

My grandma spoils me so much, she's so funny, the things that happen to her are ridiculous. She has a funny spanish accent when she speaks, she's so adorable. and, when she says something's swollen, it's "swallowed." hehe :-)

My grandmother says some funny (wrong) things, too! Like, she always says "lever mind" instead of "never mind." (I think it's a combination of 'never mind' and 'leave it be' or whatever.) She also says "skin milk" instead of skim, but my favorite is when she says, "Our Father who aren't in heaven."

Grandparents day is Sunday Sept 12th. the only reason i know is because my mother (my kids grandma) called me to remind me !! (I forget every year and then the ole guilt trip is given)

Sweet! Thanks for the heads up. I have to call my grandparents now. Maybe I can talk my paternal side into a trip to Florida to see them :) I only got to see grandpa this year when he came up for the Indians games.

It's neither. There is some meat-eating here, mainly chicken and seafood. Jen eats all meats, but I don't let pork or red meat into the house.
