Okay, so after lots of discussions, phone calls, more discussions, and budget checks, we've decided on a tentative birthday plan. Those of you that expressed interest in coming can offer feedback if you'd like. :)

So I was originally going to try to make a whole big event at the Milky Way in JP, but it ended up being too heavy on the wallet. And I didn't want to do the "let's go to a restaurant" thing because Shani is doing that this weekend, and back-to-back birthday dinners might be a little obnoxious. And Jen kind of wanted to have people over (and I think she's trying to duck out of me making a big deal out of her 30th birthday). So...

Saturday, October 16th. Come over at 7ish and bring some sort of yummy potluck thing. We'll pig out and hang out and it will be really low key. You can drink or you can not drink. You can eat or you can not eat. You can wear a lampshade on your head if you want to. Presents are not required. It's all up to you. There will be birthday cake. We will all get fat.

THEN, people who want to leave can leave. And people who want to go bowling are welcome to come to Boston Bowl with us for cheesy Cosmic Bowling. It's like $23 to get a lane for an hour, plus shoe rental. I highly recommend wearing cheesy bowling outfits. But that's only because I want to take pictures of you.

So what do you think? Yes? No? Variations?

(p.s. It's almost time for the Mariska movie. YAAAAAAAAAY!)

That was so fun, that time we went to Yankee Trader and bought all that stuff for Kyle's birthday! Good times, good times.

It sounds delightful, and I'll bring chili (with turkey, even!).

Is this a grown-up only thing, or can we bring Widget if we can't line up a babysitter two weekends in a row? It's fine if the answer is no, we'll figure something out =)

I don't have a problem with Widget coming if you're in a jam. But if you can score a babysitter you can BOWL WITH THE BIRTHDAY GIRLS!!

i thought you'd totally do an at-home thing. your place is so warm and inviting it just seemed totally the right type of thing. kind of like your housewarming thing on with more gifts involved :P

jen needs to hush her anti-birthday motives and just take it like a woman! :D

Gifts are certainly not required, not even a little. But I hope you are able to come!
