Random Work Stuff
Oct. 5th, 2004 05:26 pmWhat the hell was I thinking when I set myself up for an 11-hour work day tomorrow?
8:30 - 9:30 home visit, 10:00 - 12:00 assessment, 1:00 - 2:00 home visit, 2:00 - 3:00 home visit, 3:45 - 5:00 staff meeting, 5:30 - 7:30 assessment. YIKES!
On the upside, though, I think I'm going to leave around lunchtime on Friday if I can get away with it. Long weekend, HERE I COME!!
And, in other news, I really really like some of my coworkers. The ones who have the same philosophies as me. Today I had a nice private chat with the Director of the nursery school about this other coworker of mine. We chatted about one of my kids, and about said coworker's feedback about the kid, and how we thought she was totally jumping the gun. It was very refreshing and just what I needed, because I was really concerned that maybe everyone was on the lookout for spectrum disorders right away except me. Aaaah. (*cue refreshment sounds*)

In other news, I got the FUNNIEST e-mail this afternoon, from someone who Googled the name of the boy I kissed in kindergarten and found her way to my journal:

So, I'm having a pretty dull day today, and decided to Google my ex (I do it sometimes, don't act like you don't do it, too) and I find out he was your first kiss! Small, small world - I thought it was funny that he is nowhere to be found on the web except for your journal. I dated him for 8 yrs and was engaged to him for about six weeks before I caught the loser cheating on me - he may be a hottie, but he's an ass! You dodged a bullet, sister!
