Birthday Redux (Fat Breakdown)

judecorpThis was a pretty fantastic weekend.
Jen had both Saturday and Sunday off, and it's not very often that we get an entire weekend together, so that was lovely. Add in the fact that she worked early on Friday (and thus had Friday night off as well), and it was almost like we were working the same schedule. It was heavenly!
I met her at work on Friday night and we totally gorged ourselves at Legal Seafood thanks to a birthday gift certificate from Shani. (THANK YOU!) On the way back to the T, we stopped and ate deliciously fat Krispy Kreme donuts. The walk back to our place from the T was so adorable, because it was cold and rainy and we only had one small umbrella. Cuteness. I think we just sort of hung out together on Friday night. I can't remember. Did we go anywhere? Sheesh, I must be getting old.
Saturday we basically hung around all day, which was so nice since we never get to hang out on Saturdays. We spent some time doing party prep, like cleaning and grocery shopping, picked up our fat ice cream cake, and got ready for the fun! Our casual "hang out" party was a really good time, because lots of people came! I felt so ridiculously loved because of the great showing! Jenn came without Wiley because Hannah was being a pest, but she was joined by Shani and Matt, Dory, Jess and Chris, Joe, Carrie and William, J and Jen, Dre, Laurie and Jess, Jeff and Melissa, Olex, Tim, Kristine and her son Jacob, and nails. I had such a great time chatting with everyone, but I always get kind of stressed that I'm not paying attention to everyone. Aah well. Everyone seemed to have fun, and I hadn't seen J and Jen in about 9848270952 years, so that was very exciting.
Also, there was lots of fat involved. Such as fat chocolate cookies, fat cheese, fat cheese dip, fat chips, fat veggie dip, fat chocolate cake, fat macaroni and cheese, fat cookies. You get the idea. Mmmm, Fatty McFatfatfat.
We conned nails into spending the night, and even though I fell asleep on him very early (for I am old), he still liked me in the morning. We all went out for fat chinese food lunch (THANKS NAILS!) and then he hung around for a while watching girlie romantic comedies on television. <3
Later, Jen and I did 27 tons of laundry, but that's not very fun.
I got so many wonderful cards and gifts, and feel very grateful for the people in my life, especially my brother for sending me the first series of SVU on DVD (YAY!!) and nails for BUYING ME A PIXIES TICKET!!!oneone!! Now we have a DATE in December and I cannot wait! I also got an adorable pen, a funny calendar for next year that does NOT have any young girls on it (and I like it anyway, thank you very much), some graham cookies, some moolah, movie giftcard, border's giftcard, two books (one on Boston drivers and the other on queer parenting), The Incredibly True Adventure of 2 Girls In Love, some more moolah, an italian charm bracelet, and![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)

I really want to thank everyone who came to our house, or sent cards, or posted birthday wishes, or sent me e-mails. It's a blessing to feel so loved, and I really appreciate it. Less than three.
