I have respect for the Yankees as a solid, strong ball club but my number one love will always be the Sox. In a contest between the two, there is no question.
When I was about 9 or 10 years old, I told my father that all I wanted for my birthday was Wade Boggs's autograph. So he went to Fenway and waited outside the park after a game, and proceeded to tell Wade Boggs that I had cancer and it was my birthday and would he please sign a baseball for me?

(It all started when the Sox traded my beloved Wade Boggs to the Yanks when I was a kid.)
