Wife Swap

Okay, so "Wife Swap" was by far one of the most comical things I have ever seen on television. These people are caricatures of families, I swear to Maude! Ha ha ha ha ha, it was hysterical.

At one point, Jen turned to me in all seriousness and said, "Hey, let's not be like either one of these families, okay?" Somehow I don't think it's possible.

And you know, this show was really good for my mental health. I used to think I was totally anxious and crazy and OCD and a control freak. And then I saw one of the dads on this show. And now I think Jen needs to take back every single time she said I had to have everything my way, or liked control too much, or wasn't a good compromiser. Seriously. I think someone needs to forcefully remove the coat hanger from that guy's butt.

Did anyone else watch it, or am I the only loser on LiveJournal?

She can't take credit. It was my idea to have "reality tv show and drink PBR night".

I'm sooo glad you were there for it too, even in Boston.

We were absolutely rolling.

Ooooh, I should have had some PBR, too. What a great idea! Maybe next time "Wife Swap" is on, I will get a 40.

Tonight is a much more civilized reality show. You know, Survivor. ;)

I'm gonna watch Law and Order instead. But maybe I'll check out Wife Swap during the commercials.

Hey! I met [livejournal.com profile] sassyjenski today! She's so cool. :)

Weird. I totally thought this was Jen's journal at first. So anyway, nevermind. I wanted to tell her I met her friend. But you aren't her. Somethign about your user icon must have reminded me....and I don't recognize this judecorp business.

I miss my smurfchick.

whirledpeas Jen, not your Jen.

I could make this more confusing if I tried. Right?

Ok I do admit that I watched the fitness guru take over the slob family. That was funny. Also, watch the out of shape woman whip the anal-man-who-cleans-constantly into shape. Asshole. Are you really that cold?

We watch the same trash. I love it. Yesterday I watched Springer AND Maury.

I am also endlessly amused that we watch the same trash. Especially since you are probably the smartest person I've ever met.

Apparently they stole the idea from a British show of the same name. You're shocked, I know.

i didn't watch it last night, but i've seen it a couple of times. i just love how they purposely pick the two most opposite families they can find for maximum freakishness. :)

I've only seen ads and previews for it. I meant to watch this week's after seeing an ad for it where the non-disciplining wife was watching the disciplined kids at swimming or something and laughs nervously at the camera before saying "I'm really going to screw these kids up."

If we're awake when they're on, we love watching Blind Date and Elimidate (our favorite girl always gets eliminated first).

I think I've seen Blind Date but I've never seen Elimidate. I think someday I will have to check it out.

I loves me some reality television.

Deb and I quite love Wife Swap. Trading Spouses is a lamer version on another netork.

Oh and Cheaters is a much much trashier version of dating shows. They take a couple, one of whom is suspected of cheating and trail the cheater. Then there is the confrontation scene between all three parties in a PUBLIC PLACE! THe last one had the confrontation in a laundrymat

OH MY GOSH, I have to see this show "Cheaters." What channel is it on, and when, and what day? MUST. SEE.

It is syndicated. Check www.cheaters.com for your local listings. It plays at like 1am here.

Hunh. It's on some independent station here. I don't even know if we get that channel. I should find out!
