There is. You just have to buy massive quantities or other items to get it.
I'm sure the Schwan's delivery service (I know they have it in TX) does ice cream. I'd think there would still be dairies that deliver—and I'd think Boston would be a hotbed for them.
But I'm with you. Pick up the phone and say "a pint of Cool Britannia, please" and it happens.
When I briefly lived on Baga's couch in Amherst, there was a local establishment that would deliver milk, ice cream, and dozens of hot, freshly baked cookies to your door.
I wonder what happened to them. Gosh it was amazing.
Dude, Dippin' Dots are so flippin' scary. They were at like every function in Columbus. They are soooooo freeze dried. Maybe I don't belong in the future. I like real, old fashioned ice cream.
But that's interesting that they will overnight it.
There's Peapod, which is Stop&Shops delivery service. They do the frozen stuff, and you can get I don't know, honking great chunks of cheese and fresh arugula to go with your ice cream.
Yeah, I know Peapod will deliver from the grocery store, but there's like a $5 delivery fee, which makes it the Most Expensive Ice Cream Ever. Also, NOT having ice cream delivery might help me not gain any more weight. Because I weigh TOO MUCH.
Yeah why don't they have this???? I would weigh at least three times more than I do now... especially if it was Edy's ... I do think this should be a service offered of our future wellness center... Ice Cream in the comfort of your own home is ESSENTIAL to overall wellness... **Adds to List**
And yes, Diningin.com is also in boston. Hence delivery from JP Licks. There is also a place in brighton that delivers late night hot cookies anywhere in the metro boston area. In fact, I think they are called Late Night Cookies. Look it up in the yellow pages.
And there's a crepes and smoothie place in the diningin.com menu, so you can get crepes with green apple and brie and a chocolate banana smoothie. How's that for satisfying the craving?
BTW, we use diningin all the time. They have a much better selection of restaurants than the norm. So its worth paying the small delivery fee. And they remember things like your food allergies and will call you back and tell you that you need to pick a different menu item when something has an ingredient you are allergic to.
