Oh, it's all about Guilt. I swear, I've probably watched that episode 10 times in the last couple of weeks. Because why would I want to watch anything else on TV when I could watch a tape of Alex's "I don't work for you; you work for me, AT MY DISCRETION" speech on a daily basis?
You know, I absolutely adore you even though you scare me a little. ;)
It's funny, because now all of our SVU conversations at home are about /you/. I'll be like, "Oh, don't forget, we have to watch that episode on SVU because Melanie says so," or "Oh, this is the one Melanie says shows Alex eating a sandwich!" And Jen thinks I'm totally nuts.
I'm glad you love "Angels." I had never seen that one before (how the heck did I miss it??!?) and it was SO GOOD. Jealous Olivia! Angry Elliot!
HA! I'm so glad I'm a part of your SVU conversations at home!
Oh, how I love Angels, if only for the red dress. [Oh, and creepy child molester Munch, of course.] The red dress scene has always struck me as so out of place; I find myself constantly wondering why it's in the episode. Is it there to further establish Alex's "heterosexuality," just in case we missed her creepy ex-boyfriend in "Execution"? [Because if that's the case, it certainly doesn't work; jealous!Olivia! brings the hoyay!] Is it there because someone in hair/makeup/wardrobe/whatever said, "Wow, Stephanie is really hot! Let's dress her up for once!" Is it there just to give Trevor a few lines? I really want to know.
[Oh, and I should really get a life. But instead, I'm just going to sit here for a while and think about Alex Cabot eating a sandwich.]
Okay, so Creepy Child Molester Munch was one of the most adorable things I've ever seen on SVU. I think they should make an action figure of CCMM! I also think Munch does not get enough screentime, and neither does my beloved Ice-T.
I don't get why we had to see Alex on a stupid heterosexual faux-date in "Angels." I think it was just a filler to try to maintain that Alex holds some sort of social life outside the realm of SVU. And you and I both know how ridiculous that is. Alex's life revolves solely around Olivia, and around SVU working for her, at her discretion.
Is it bad that the thought of a Creepy Child Molester Munch action figure makes me laugh out loud? Because it does. Loudly.
I hear you on Munch and Ice-T time. I'm especially fond of Fin one-liners like, "That's messed up!" "That's just cold!" and, of course, "Don't look at me; I just know stuff." Awww, Fin.
Alex's life revolves solely around Olivia, and around SVU working for her, at her discretion.
HA! Exactly. And I just don't buy Alex and Trevor together. However, their possible pairing did bring about one of the funniest SVU TWoP quotes ever: "I don't pleasure you; you pleasure me, at my discretion! Your sole purpose in this process is to bring me to a climax I can enjoy, not one I have to fake!" Ah, that gets me every time.
[The whole discussion starts at the bottom of this page. I looked it up just for you, because I'm like that.]
TWoP makes me all wet in the pants - I can't stand it! So funny. SO FUNNY!
I love how Fin's lines all revolve around proving how much street cred his has. Like if anyone is supposed to say something like, "Street justice is always bloody," it's always Fin. And he always delivers those lines with that exasperated 'stupid White people' look on his face. "*sigh* He's on the down-low. *sigh*"
I think I could talk about this all day. Why aren't the other seasons available on DVD? WHY WHY WHY??!?
