I managed to pull off a bunch of holiday stuff after work tonight, including wrapping another present, writing some cards, and making some crayons for [livejournal.com profile] juliann. I also put some dishes and laundry away and ate a lot of cookies. Go me.

I can't believe it's December 6th already. No, really. That's just crazy talk. In three and a half weeks, it will be 2005. 2005. Gah, that means Y2K was FIVE YEARS AGO, people! I am getting old.

I have no idea what to do for my Jennifer for our anniversary. Last year I worked my butt off on that scrapbook and I don't know how I will compete with that. I don't want to buy her just any old present, I really like making something sweet, but I can't seem to come up with any ideas this year. What's up with that? Has my heart turned to stone?

Speaking of my heart, the extended holiday hours at the mall mean that she doesn't get off work until after 10, and won't be home until after 11. Very very sad indeed. It's cold, and I'm lonely, and just want some love.

I've been with Paul for 2 1/2 years. It is really hard to think of gifts sometimes. What I try to do is think of something that he likes and go to an antique store/market and see what kind of quaint, not-sold-just-anywhere stuff I can find that he would like. You can find some amazing stuff for not too much money. I've even found stuff that never occurred to me. It shows that you're thinking more about it than just looking at the ads in the Sunday paper.

Yeah, I definitely love the idea of "not sold anywhere" stuff. Unfortunately, Jennifer likes a lot of the common stuff, and I /do/ like to get her what she wants. So I try to get her things she likes, but with a twist if I can... so both our agendas get through. :)
