you know what's weird. i've come across you twice in the past 2 days in LJ, commenting in LJs that are totally unrelated. one (pifflegirl) i know from frff and the other (ktmcda) from a mama board.
weird. i'm adding you, if you don't mind. :)

I am so amused by the interrelatedness of the internet! I get so tickled when I follow a link to someone and see that they are friends with someone else that I wasn't expecting!

Add away! You seem like a pretty interesting gal. I love the rebel mamas!

You're fucking kidding me, you went to Mount?

Okay, it's time for me to ask if you have older siblings or whatever. Dear god, next you're going to tell me you grew up in freaking Woonsocket.

oh hell yeah. i may have lost my woonsocket-rocketness by moving all the way down the street to NORTH SMITHFIELD, and i haven't been to autumnfest in years, but i still hold good ole' woonsocket dear in my heart.
i don't have any older siblings.
i am looking through my 1993 yearbook, though, and it's funny- apparently the 80s were still "in" in 1993.
weren't you valedictorian? i was in the band and forced to play commencement every year. i can't find it listed in my yearbook, though.
i was mostly friends with people in the class of 96. ben sweeney and beth gobeille and danielle stockley.

I was, indeed, valedictorian of the Class of 93. Which makes me ONE BIG NERD. But you're right - the 80s were alive and well in 1993... but you should see my [livejournal.com profile] smurfbrother's 1990 yearbook! Holy Z. Cavaricci, Batman!

Some of those 1996 names sound familiar to me, but I don't know that I ever met any of them. I didn't know too many people younger than Class of 94.

Also, I went to Autumnfest this year. With my father. Gods, that was scary as heck.

someone was stabbed at autumnfest a few years ago. we went to the beer tent the year i turned 21, but all they had was bud and bud light on tap. ugh.
that's the last time i went.
(sorry i disappeared earlier- my internet connection took a break)

I don't remember what beer they had this year (I went to get a beer with my dad) - I think maybe Coors and Coors Light? I don't know. It could have been Bud and Bud Light - they're all the same to me. It's kind of surreal to stand around at Autumnfest drinking crappy beer with my father, and then running into my friend's ex-girlfriend.

Really, my dad likes to point out scary-looking women and call them lesbians just to irritate me. ;)

Someone was stabbed? Really? Wow. I am so out of the Woonsocket loop. I lived in Ohio for the last four years.

Every time I reach out and touch somebody new the family lawyers have to work overtime.

are you stillo interested in the ucsc job? i talked w/ the supervisor today, and she said she's going to appoint rather than do a full open application, so I said i'd have you call her if you're interested.

email me @ jsiecienski@yahoo.com for more info/contacts.

Question: Would I have to get rid of my cats?

Date: 2004-12-11 05:12 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] sassyjenski.livejournal.com
yeah. that probably wouldn't work, huh?

I guess not. :( I wasn't thinking about the cats when I got all psyched about the job, but Jen just said, "What about the cats?" and I realized I effed up. :(

Sweet. If I could have cats, it would be the PERFECT job and I would stay for one million years. Jen really REALLY wants to move back to California.
