judecorpI don't want to make something for dinner. I want to go out somewhere and eat a delicious dinner. I called a couple of people and they didn't answer their cell phones. Sad sad. Now I will make something for dinner and it will be nowhere near as fun as going out to a yummy restaurant and having yummy conversation.
On nights like this, I miss Columbus. Because with a short walk, I could be at Pete's, Vic's, or the Coffee Table. And I could sit there all night with my book and cups of steamed soy milk. And run into people I know. There are distinctly NO walkable places here (except Dunkin' Donuts - of course - but it's not a place you can, you know, sit), and I can only think of one coffee shop in all of Dorchester and it's not really a homey "sit on a couch" place, either. And I don't have a bunch of people I can call on a moment's notice to make plans. Everyone has a busy calendar. Woe is me and my working-til-after-11 smoochie.
