Oooh! My Internet Secret Santa sent me Coraline and Smoke and Mirrors by Neil Gaiman - the only Gaiman books I didn't already have and wanted for a long time! I am so excited! My Internet Secret Santa is the bestest EVAR!

Well, it's over now for the year, but next November you can do a Google search for "Internet Secret Santa" and it will direct you to the website where you can sign up! :)

Hi! This is totally bizarre and weird probably I know but ...

I'm a new in2books volunteer and also queer. I'm in the process of writing my intro and making my profile and am wondering if it's 'ok' to include my partner as a part of my bio. I've written in2books about it but am still waiting for a response ...

Wow, it never occured to me to contact in2books to ask if I could talk about my relationship. I just automatically did it.

In my intro letters to my kids, I have always included my partner (as "my partner, Jennifer"). In my visual profile, I not only included that information but also pasted on a picture of Jennifer and myself (http://www.judecorp.com/pics/judejenblah.jpg) in the middle of it.

I've never heard any comments about it, from in2books or anyone else. I've never had a pen pal ask about it or anything, either (but I've had 3rd and now 2nd graders).

I say JUST DO IT! Any organization that requires you to censor who you are is not worth giving your time to.
