Jen and I decided to tackle holiday baking this year. So far we've got: Butterscotch Bars, Banana Treats, Chocolate Toffee Puffs, Spicy Oatmeal Crisps, and Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies (all from Cooking Light). I think I'll also make some Rice Krispie Treats (because they're so freaking good).

I wonder if you can overdose on Holiday Cheer? Because I might be reaching that limit soon. (I also found four holiday cards that never got mailed, aie!) Giddy-up, giddy-up, giddy-up, let's go!

FOUR DAY WORK WEEK! Yes! Yes! Yessssssss!

I'll see your four day work week and raise you a three day work week!

And I think some of those bakery goodies should make their way south. Yes... yes, I do!

And I could alternately use them to horrify the Baptists and sell at outrageous prices to the townie kids. "These aren't just cookies, they're LESBIAN produced cookies!"

;-)

If we have any leftover cookies, I will totally send them your way. But you have to EAT them, not terrorize fundies with them. ;)

*pout* You're no fun at all! What good is being in the South if I can't taunt the Fundies?!

Funny you should use that icon.

Last night I saw "The Nightmare Before Christmas" at the movie theater. So good!

LOL - Olex says you're just trying to be as cool as us ;0)
We've also decided to tackle holiday baking today, but we're not quite as far along as you are.
And yes, you can OD on holiday goodness. Perfect example: 24 hour marathon of A Christmas Story on TBS (Christmas Eve). Whoosh!

We're holding off on the baking until later in the week so we can deliver totally fresh goodies. But I'm glad y'all had fun baking today! (We just bought supplies. Lots of supplies.)

I like A Christmas Story, but 24 hours is just too much. :)

You're lucky. This is Olex's only day off, and we have to mail our cookies. Today's the only option :( But we're having fun. Though Olex has made our kitchen floor dirty again by tossing flour at me. You'd think I'd provoked him or something...you KNOW I'm an angel!

I made the chocolate, coffee, cashew biscotti from CL tonight. They're cooling in the kitchen now, but they smell fantastic!

We thought about making those - they looked really good. You'll have to tell us how they come out!

We went to the website to look up random cookies and bars. I hope we end up with a nice (and delicious) assortment.

p.s. Thanks for the card! (It had your address on it, yay, which means we have a card en route to you now!)

ugh. i did that today, too. hair cookies and fudge. the thing about making cookies is that you eat so much dough while baking that when the actual first batch of cookies come out you're already sick to your stomach. then you have to keep baking til their done, which is a real bitch.

I know. I am so bad about that. I always eat so much batter/dough that I am stuffed before the first round even comes out of the oven! Then I am so sick of baked goods! UGH.

Any chance I could get a few of those recipes from you?

Hmmm... the spicy oatmeal crisps, chocolate toffee puffs, and chewy chocolate chip cookies all sound yummy! Thanks!

I got my holiday card! Hooray! Thanks! An unexpected little smile on a drab day here.

I always resolve to send cards and never do it - especially when I'm working 7 days a week.

Happy holidays, though - and enjoy your goodies!
