I took a sick day today. It's so rare that I take a sick day when I'm actually too sick to go to work, but there it is. I woke up in the middle of the night and was totally uncomfortable and unable to sleep. A few hours of tossing and turning later, I took my temperature and had a fever of about 102. Yuck. So I decided to stay home and trust that my supervisor can deliver the rest of the gifts to my families. (Gosh, I really hope he can pull it off. One of my families will not have /any/ Christmas gifts if my gifts don't make it there... and they have no phone right now. Argh!) But I slept on and off until about noon, and Tylenol has been keeping my fever to 100 or so, so right now I actually feel good enough to sit up (and play with the internets).

We've gotten a lot of really nice holiday cards this year (but

pattisimmons, you sent us the wrong photo!) and

crena totally outdid herself with thoughtful gifts for us. She printed out all of the funny pictures we took when she, Scott, and the twins came to visit us in the summer... as well as a number of other sweet things. I am so touched!

I am also delirious. And there is NOTHING ON TELEVISION during the day! My god, I wish I could be at work! There is only so much Judging Amy and Days of Our Lives I can stand. Ugh.
