I liked last year when they did a special with all of the try-outs in one hour. I'm a little disheartened that I devoted 2 hours of my night to try-outs in only one city. Still, I'm not planning on missing any of the show this year! (Last year I had to miss the last 20 minutes of the show in order to make it to work on time!)
See, I never watched the show before last season, but I was volunteering with the Kaleidoscope youth and they were all obsessed with American Idol, so I started watching it. Still, I only like the try-outs, so I'm kind of glad they're showing so many. But I doubt I'll be a regular watcher. What did you think of that 5.9% guy? ;)
It's a good thing that he has a solid trade, 'cause there's no way that he will ever sing for money. It's also a good thing that he has Jesus, 'cause I don't think that he has a lot of friends. I just finished watching (mostly watching) the St. Louis tryouts. I'm kind of sorry the cannibal didn't make it - that would have made for at least 10 weeks worth of Leno jokes :)
Ooh. I missed that part. That's one of the parts of auditions that I actually like. Oh well...it looks like there's another week's worth of auditions to go!
As long as it's the voice that says I'm a hottie, and not a voilent voice (I think she shocked Mark when she claimed her voices were saying he's hot!). I was terrified at the end when she sang with such passion that her eyes actually bulged out of her head like a frog! [creepy, creepy, creepy]
you know, they moved into a new location, right NEXT to sabos, as opposed to that really sketchy place in the back. apparently, there is some much better funding now, and that is REALLY exciting.
Yeah, ebeth told me they finally got the front space and that things were looking good. She said Angie was really working her butt off for KYC, which is totally awesome. I'm glad they got the better space!
And I definitely think we need a MA KYC reunion. Are there other KYCers in MA or should we make them all hoof out here? I think Nora (another volunteer) also relocated to MA, but I could be totally wrong about that.
