Happy BIrthday, Jenn.

I don't get around to doing birthday shout-outs anymore now that I'm not permanently chained to my computer all day, but there is a very special person out there in the world who is celebrating her birthday today and probably could use a little extra bit of love. Send her a little bit of love, kids!
Jenn is one of the kindest, gentlest, sweetest, most caring and good people I've ever become acquainted with. She and her family are going through hard times and she continues to persist in her strong and honest manner. She spent a long time taking care of her grandmother as she struggled with Alzheimer's and has now been watching her grandmother slowly pass away, all the while stopping to appreciate the joy in a smile or the love in a squeeze. But she's struggling with the idea of enjoying her birthday.
If anything at all, for your birthday,
jennbits, I wish you peace of mind, just for a day, just for an hour. You are an amazing person and you deserve an incredible birthday. I love you.

Date: 2005-01-31 04:11 pm (UTC)First of all, all of the people that know you that left me a happy birthday note really warmed my heart. There is nothing that makes me happier than knowing that there are still people that live their lives with the warmth and compassion for others that makes the world so much easier to survive.
I really value your friendship and I look up to you so often. Your strength and determination are often inspiring to me. You inadvertantly remind me that I have passions to pursue when I begin to get sidetracked with the humdrum annoyances of my everyday life.
The fact that you did this for me today means more to me than any gift that I could have received. I really feel fortunate to be able to call you a friend.
As an aside, I am thinking about making my Alzheimer's posts public because people keep mentioning to me the way they hit home with things that they are going through in their own lives with their families.
Thank you for being such a good friend to me when you play your quiet and supportive role as well as your peptalk role. I really admire you! xoxoxox
