I had the headache from hell this afternoon, but I managed to drag myself to the gym anyway. I did a 40-minute walk and a couple of the arm machines and called it a night to head home for some advil. I thought this was going to be a loss of an evening, but I have to admit that the weather is just too perfect to worry about my aching head.

It's just gotten cool enough now that I can happily curl under a blanket so all the spring breezes can wash over my face without freezing my shoulders. Daedalus and I are lounging on the couch together and we definitely agree: Perfect Night.

A little American Idol, a little House, a little dinner... headache or no, life is pretty calm right now. I like that.

Bo bugs me. He has talent but he bugs me. I'm not sure why, but I think he's totally egotistical.

But when Scott claps, his hands look SO. WEIRD.

I truly feel as though Nadia was a much better singer/performer than either Scott or Anthony. And yes, even Carrie sometimes. I was very disappointed to have a show without her, even though I didn't love her every single week.
Carrie (I think, though obviously not the judges) is going downhill. She has ZERO emotion while she's singing. What was that discussion last night about the lyrics to her song?! How can you possibly expect to win a competition if you get up in front of millions of people and tell them that you have no idea what you were just singing about?! Besides, I didn't think that she was on pitch the entire song.
Personally, I like Bo Bice. And Vonzell. And I'll be disappointed when Constantine goes - I enjoy watching him (WAS HE WEARING BLUE EYESHADOW?) each week, even though I don't think that he should win in the end.
Well, now that I have stated my opinion on every "idol" but Anwar, I guess I should mention that I like Anwar better than Scott & Anthony, but not as much as Nadia and the rest of the top 7.
Bottom 3 tonight: I'm hoping for Scott, Anthony & Anwar.

A Scott, Anthony, and Anwar bottom three would be my wet dream, seriously. I can't wait for all of them to GO GO GO.

Anwar is cute but he is just not that good. And I like Scott as an "average joe" but he is just not that good. And Anthony just annoys the piss out of me.

I'm sad that Nadia left, too... it's like Girl Destruction on AI and I don't like that. I think Carrie has a TON of vocal talent but not a lot of Star Potential - due to the emotion, the lack of dance moves (she just stands there), and the complete and total trailer park style. Vonzell used to be a flash in the pan for me but now I really REALLY like her. I think she found her niche in the world of Whitney Houston stuff and she's really coming along. YAY!

Bo is good sometimes but he is such a one-trick pony. He's shown that when you take him out of his element, he sucks. And he's an egomaniac, too. (Eh, if I don't win I'll just keep making a million records with my band. I don't care about American Idol. Blah blah blah.) Constantine was wearing EYELINER last night and now I am in love with him all over again. Dear gods, bring on the hot, pouty, goth boys!!!!!!!

i love that i was so into Vonzell right from the get go and no one believed me when i said she was GOOD. i do seriously miss Nadia, though, because i think Nadia could've made a real interesting album when she won. oh well...we always have Vonzell :)

just tuned in- what are you going on metformin for? i thought we had talked about PCOS long ago and you said you didn't have it... you're not going diabetic or anything are you? anyway, hope it's for a manageable, not-too-upsetting reason, and you don't have to mention here if you don't want to... i have liked being on metformin, but lots of people i ahve talked to say it makes them really nauseated. but i have been on it fince 2001, no problems. hope all is ok. let me know if you want to chat. hope you have my number.

No, I'm not going all diabetic on you or whatever. I just got a different doctor, and unlike the last two doctors I've had, this one DOES seem to think I have PCOS even though I have mild to minimal symptoms (no big weight gain, marginally high androgens, no ovarian cysts, etc.). Apparently my test results were so borderline that my doctor actually consulted with a gyno and an endo, and they said it wouldn't be a bad idea to try the metformin. So I'm trying. They think I have insulin resistance. *shrug*

But I still have no period or anything, so who knows? Maybe if I ever really get to have my follow-up appointment or something.

I haven't had any major problems with it. I do get occasional nausea/dizziness, but not too bad. I'm also taking a low amount right now.
