1. Where's your favorite place to eat in Boston and your favorite thing to order from their menu?
I don't really have a favorite place to eat. There are SO MANY places to eat and I like so many different kinds of food! I like La Paloma for mexican because it's close and it's pretty cheap. I like Zen320 for sushi because all sushi is half off. I like Puritan down the road for pizza because the owner is this totally snappy greek dude who is ALWAYS angry. I like Chan O'Mally's in Fields Corner for fast chinese food.
I bet there are 874239752092 expensive, fancy, delicious restaurants. But we never go to them because we're broke. :)
2. What's the best place in Boston to take kids where it's not too noisy, or too crowded and doesn't cost a gazillion dollars a person?
You have to remember that I live in Dorchester and very rarely go into town.
I suggest taking kids to Castle Island in Southie. It's free, and kids can run around in the grass and in the ocean. And there's a playground. And it's so close to Logan that you get to see the planes fly overhead REALLY close.
Otherwise, you can go to most of the museums for free if you have a library card. You can get free passes from the library. :)
3. Where's the nicest walk/path in Boston and what kind of shoes should I wear to go there?
You ask questions that I cannot answer! I know NOTHING about walking paths in town. Sometimes I walk along the beach up Day Boulevard in Southie. But usually I end up hanging out with
folkyboy, picking a direction, and walking until we're tired. As for shoes... heck if I know. Some good sneakers, I suppose. I don't own many shoes.
4. You have an entire weekend to yourself (no Jen, no friends) what's the one thing at the top of your list you absolutely have to do?
Mope. An entire weekend with no human contact? I would go positively MAD.
5. If you could move to anyplace in Boston, where would you pick and why?
I'd love to buy a place in City Point in Southie. It's so cute over there, it looks like a mini, northern San Francisco. But really, I don't think I want to live here long-term. It hasn't really worked out for us.
