8798079870424 watts of central air
Jun. 12th, 2005 07:06 pmWhen I got home from the softball game, it was 87 degrees in my apartment, so I turned on the central air for the first time this season. I think I turned it on around 4:30pm, and it's now almost 7:00 and it has not stopped running (I'm trying to get down to 77 degrees). Ouch. The electric company is going to totally love us. On the upside, the central air thinger has an attachment that modulates the humidity, so not only is it much more pleasant in here, it's so dry and not-sticky. Hooray!
I took a nice cold shower when I got home from the game and I totally shaved my legs. It took a million years and after many years of furriness, I think they look really pale and funny. They feel kind of neat though, being smooth and stuff. (Though I think feeling wind through hair feels neat, too.) I guess I'm locked into shaving for the summer as I don't want to have half-grown, picky hair. Maybe I'll wear some skirts, too, and freak 'em all out.
We won our softball game, too! I played catcher for part of the game and right field for another part. (There are a lot of players and everyone kind of rotates.) I hit the ball at both of my at-bats (we had like 20 people and everyone bats) but was forced out once. Poop. Also, this co-ed league has all these weird rules revolving around women. Like, women use this lighter ball. And if a man walks (gets 4 balls) and the next batter is a woman, the man gets two bases instead of one. (I guess this is to discourage walking men to get to the women batters.) I didn't like all of the weird "special" rules. I'd rather play in an all-wimmin league.
I want my Jennifer to come home from work so we can make dinner and spend our evening together. It feels like Saturday instead of Sunday because she usually works on Saturdays. I'm so not ready to go to work tomorrow. COMMENCE THE SNUGGLING.

Date: 2005-06-12 11:04 pm (UTC)But I also really really like smooth legs. I like to wear ankle-length skirts so if I decide hairy or unhairy, I don't have to make wardrobe changes.
I agree.

Date: 2005-06-13 03:43 am (UTC)I only recently started shaving my legs again - and I'm awful at it. My left leg has cuts under the knee and on the back of my ankle. And I always miss a lot, anyway.
(Basically, I'm a failure.)
Meanwhile, look at you - shaved legs and skirts!
You'll look good no matter what you wear ;-)

Date: 2005-06-14 01:58 am (UTC)It was so weird. I should do this girl thing more often.
SO WEIRD!
p.s. I missed a bunch of spots, too.
