Today we skipped [livejournal.com profile] hoo's graduation party to tackle some more of my dad's house. (Sorry, Chris! We're incredibly proud of you!) We managed to get about 8 trash bags worth of stuff out of the locked basement room (in which my brother and I stored many things from high school). The old boiler blew up a couple of years ago and flooded everything, so there was just tons and tons of stuff that was moldy and nasty. Yuck.

We took a look around the basement to see what kind of shape it was in and it looks pretty good, aside from the clutter and the other boiler (the one that didn't explode a couple of years ago) looking a bit corroded. We continue to have discussions about the pros and cons of moving down there for a while to live on the cheap and stop paying rent. It's such a ridiculously big decision and I try not to think about it. I'll just go back to writing a million thank you notes for all of the people who bought masses in my dad's honor. I swear, if there is a heaven, that man in SO in it! He's set for like the next 879370298729 million years!

Jen, Mr. Cheesecake, and I went to see Batman Begins tonight which was pretty good but way too loud for me. I am still in sensory overload. Rick drank 40 gallons of soda and had to endure millions of comments from me about how he's a thirsty diabetic. Good times.

I just got a really big kiss. That was nice.

Living on the cheap is an attractive idea. It's enough to send me back to Brewer!

You can buy masses to send people to Heaven? Huh. I wonder if all those people who spend their lives being total goody-two-shoes know about that. Suckers!

btw, your dad told me once he wants me to have his Hitler doll. And all that money under the floor boards. And his car. Didn't he tell you?

Dude, I have a home-made swastika pillow I found in the basement WITH YOUR NAME ALL OVER IT.

Can you transfer to Providence? Totally come live downstairs from us. Seriously. I think my dad would totally dig it. We could line the whole building with tin foil.

We are missing you, as they say, BIG TIME.

My life is incomplete without the Peas.

Yeah, see, well the other incentive for me to move to Brewer is to finally get to know my family. I won't be able to do that in Woonsocket!

Oh, but you could get to know MINE. All 2 of them.

And we could take trips up the coast in a car with the top down, visiting your fam and Bah Hahbah and Penobscot Theatre.

Top down? You have a convertable? Or did you mean OUR tops? Hrm.. Tempting. But I'm tired of having to plan to see people months ahead of time. I'm looking forward to the day when I can just call up my sister and say 'hey, want to go grab some lunch with me?' And back in Brewer there is a slew of buddies who will play board games with me. I'm completely game deprived here.

Well, of course YOU would be topless, but I meant we could rent a car. Unless I successfully buy a crappy old Jeep Wrangler and drive around topless. (The Jeep, I mean.)

p.s. We play board games, too. Like, on a regular basis. Several of our cronies out here have monthly game nights. And not for roleplaying games, if you know what I mean.
