Today's exciting events
Jun. 19th, 2005 12:33 amToday we skipped
hoo's graduation party to tackle some more of my dad's house. (Sorry, Chris! We're incredibly proud of you!) We managed to get about 8 trash bags worth of stuff out of the locked basement room (in which my brother and I stored many things from high school). The old boiler blew up a couple of years ago and flooded everything, so there was just tons and tons of stuff that was moldy and nasty. Yuck.
We took a look around the basement to see what kind of shape it was in and it looks pretty good, aside from the clutter and the other boiler (the one that didn't explode a couple of years ago) looking a bit corroded. We continue to have discussions about the pros and cons of moving down there for a while to live on the cheap and stop paying rent. It's such a ridiculously big decision and I try not to think about it. I'll just go back to writing a million thank you notes for all of the people who bought masses in my dad's honor. I swear, if there is a heaven, that man in SO in it! He's set for like the next 879370298729 million years!
Jen, Mr. Cheesecake, and I went to see Batman Begins tonight which was pretty good but way too loud for me. I am still in sensory overload. Rick drank 40 gallons of soda and had to endure millions of comments from me about how he's a thirsty diabetic. Good times.
I just got a really big kiss. That was nice.

Date: 2005-06-20 11:27 pm (UTC)p.s. We play board games, too. Like, on a regular basis. Several of our cronies out here have monthly game nights. And not for roleplaying games, if you know what I mean.
