Mirror pen pal

I recently learned that technodyke used to write mirror-written notes to friends to make them all "secret." And of course I have been a ridiculously nerdy mirror-writer since I was five, when I used such things to tick off unsuspecting teachers.

So now we will be mirror-writing pen pals. Let the nerdiness commence!

I used to mirror-write, too! Left and right. Also the same age (5 or so) I taught myself to read upside-down (after teaching all of my classmates to read @ age 4)

That KIND of reminds me of when my very first girlfriend and I used to speak in sign language for the entire summer at camp (we were both camp counselors and met at camp) because a lot of people were angry at us being together. We both got threatened with being fired if there was even a RUMOR of us being physical again at camp. We had gotten caught messing around at the sailing shed (that wasn't even ON camp property)...but it was fine and dandy that the heterosexual counselors were shacking up IN THE CABIN with other children around. NICE.

Sorry...that kind of came out venting. But I did enjoy speaking sign language for 3 months. It's kind of a dream of mine to learn it fluently.

I am a big fan of the ASL. I took a bunch of it in college and while I still remember a little bit of it, I've sure lost a lot, which is a bummer. Someday I hope to pick it up again. I always wanted to be an interpreter.

And yeah, the double standard totally sucks.

Write backwards... not just right to left, but actually backwards so that it looks correct when held to a mirror. :)
