ALREADY! Dear Lord! You and Melis are uberspeedreaders. I read backwards compared to you guys.

Naw, it actually took me a while to read it. I've been reading it in little chunks every day, unlike people like Jen who can just sit there and read and read.

(Also, I'm not doing any school work.)

I know people who had it finished by Sunday. I have NEVER been able to read that much so quickly, and it made me feel pretty inadequate actually.

Yeah, I'm not a fast reader. I always felt like I should be faster 'cause I'm a smart person, but there you have it.

I'm still formulating. Mostly things like: Snape - baddie or misunderstood? Harry - right all the time? how annoying if so! Ginny - hook up with Hermione!

I posted some interesting theories not far back in my journal. You should read them if you're interested, I compiled them from a few sources.

I went back and read your (and other people's) HP6 posts right after I finished. And I dunno - I just don't buy the whole "Harry as a Horcrux" thing. It seems a little too convoluted for Rowling - she's usually pretty direct and obvious with her major plot devices. After all, she's writing for children.

i haven't even picked it up yet... that's my agenda this weekend. i've been working 7 days a week since memorial day and haven't had one second to do anything for myself. i can't wait to read it, though.

I was totally blown away. I was crying by the end. I alternately wanted to throttle JK and glomp her madly.

See, I'm okay with D being dead. I found the scene with he and HP and the potion MUCH more emotional and poignant. I almost think he should have died there instead - much more dramatic.

Random Potter Ramblings

Methinks the little-esteemed Defense Against the Dark Arts (né Potions) teacher has multiple unbreakable vows to contend with, which is why the Hogwarts headmaster trusted him so implicitly. I also have the feeling that he will not survive the series. In fact, I'm of the opinion his ultimate demise will be crucial in helping The Boy Who Lived defeat The Dark Lord. Alas, the aforementioned Boy will not understand his former professor's true role until it is too late to save said professor.

The Weasley twins' magical abilities are impressive, though their focus seems fairly juvenile. Nonetheless, the part they play in Book Six foreshadows (I suspect) their importance in Book Seven.

The Tonks/Lupin thing surprised me, though Laura had figured it out early on. I was also pleasantly surprised with the way Fleur reacted to Bill's injuries.

Ginny/Hermione? Please! McGonagall/Pomfrey.
