Red Left Paw

Somehow our beloved Ralph managed to get Jen's palette off of the refrigerator and also got enough plastic off to step in the bright red paint. She gave us a total heart attack when we walked into the house after being gone for a week and finding red all over her little white paw!

That dastardly Ralph, trying to get back at us for being gone.

I'm so sorry. I saw that when I went by yesterday, totally meant to call you and warn you, just to save you the heart attack, didn't have my phone on me and forgot later when I did.

Silly cat gave me a total heart attack too - Widget and I walked in, and she says "Momma, why is the cat's paw all red?". Me wrestling with Ralph to make sure she was okay was also pretty damn funny.

Incidentally, we tried to call you this afternoon so that we could take you out to lunch to thank you, but got no answer. Poo. Another time?

I had to pick her up and flip her over, to make sure the source of the red wasn't some kind of tummy wound. I'm not sure I've ever seen a cat be so mad, short of bathtime.

Sorry I wasn't around this afternoon - we were off having dim sum and running errands. No need for elaborate thank yous. After all, how many times have y'all baby sat for us?

We haven't babysat that much! And I've never had to flip Hannah over and check her tummy. ;)

(And yeah, Ralph's a little neurotic when it comes to any sort of procedure. Hence why her claws are so out of control.)

All Biko did while we were on vacation was shed all over my pillow and puke under the computer chair. (She occasionally eats a bunch of dry food before drinking and pow! leaves kitty gifts on the carpet.)

Sometimes Daedalus will wolf down food so fast that he yarfs up nearly undigested food. Yum.

So far we have found no puke anywhere... but there is TONS of fur. They are shedding machines!
