I really need to get my LICSW application notarized. It's been sitting, completed, in my apartment for probably the last three months, and I haven't been able to send it out because I haven't gotten it notarized. I recently learned that there are notaries in pretty much every bank, so it should be no problem to go get the damned thing notarized... except that I never remember to bring my stuff to work for those days that I might have a moment during business hours!

I swear, one of the things that people with regular jobs take for granted is having a set time to yourself each day for lunch or whatever. If I had a "lunch break" I could just bop over to the bank and get my stupid paper notarized. But my day tomorrow looks like this:
9:00-9:15 - go into office to get zoo pass
9:30-10:00 - pick up family and drive them to zoo
10:00-11:30 - go to zoo
11:45 - drop off family
12:00-1:00 - home visit
1:15-2:15 - home visit
2:30-3:30 - home visit
3:45-5:00 - staff meeting
5:30-6:30 - home visit

I'm so far behind in my life. Maybe I can get it notarized when I go to RI after work on Friday. Do you think I can get a State of MA form notarized by a RI notary?

A lot of places like UPS/FedEx, sometimes Kinko's, grocery stores, and even insurances places have notaries, too.

I don't have you address handy, but here (http://local.yahoo.com/MA/Boston/7737258/Legal+and+Financial/8109915/Notaries/) is a list I found just by Googling "notaries" and "Boston, MA".

Check with your bank, they may have notaries on weekends. I know you are off to RI most weekends but it might be worth finding out about.

But yes, a notary from RI should be sufficient.

My plan is to get it done on Friday no matter what, no more dicking around. I will make it happen, dang it!

Some notaries work weekends for this very reason, call around.

Yeah, my mission is to get it done on Friday NO MATTER WHAT... whether I stop at my bank on my way to RI or get my grandfather to do it in RI.

You can't send someone else to notarize something - you have to physically sign the forms in front of the notary and swear that they're true and all of that.

Shouldn't matter where you get it notarized, and your grandfather is a notary.

I know he is - hence the question about the RI notary.
