Back on the list!

judecorpOkay, so with all of the craziness in my life, I forgot to send A. a birthday card. His birthday was Friday, August 12. (A. is my ex-spouse, for those of you playing along at home who don't know.) "No big deal," I thought, "I'll just call him on Friday." But on Friday I raced from work to RI, and then spent the evening in RI, and I just plain forgot. So yesterday I called him and left him an apologetic message on his voicemail wishing him a happy belated birthday.
Today I got a voicemail back from him telling me that it's okay that I forgot to call or send a card, because MY GRANDMOTHER sent him one!

(True story - my grandmother keeps a card file of everyone's birthdays on it, and when people die or whatnot she quite literally crosses them out. So A.'s exact words were, "I guess I'm back on the list!" I almost died laughing.)
