Red Cross Volunteer Effort
Sep. 2nd, 2005 05:36 pmToday I talked to my Supervisor and my Director about helping the relief effort in New Orleans with the Red Cross. They both said they would support my decision, so I e-mailed the Red Cross to see if they still need mental health/clinical volunteers.
We'll see what happens! I'm so psyched they were so okay with me bailing on work. I guess it's the kind of situation where they can't say no or they'd look like turds.

Date: 2005-09-03 07:23 pm (UTC)Hopefully they will open more trainings so I can go to one. I'm kind of bummed that I might miss out on this opportunity to help. But still - whenever they have another training I am definitely going, if only to be ready for the next time.
