Mid-day kitten love

I'm sitting here with a kitten on my lap going through LJ and e-mail. That's kind of exciting, since it's early in the day. I have another home visit at 4:30 and I'm leaving in about 10 minutes, but I decided to go home for a little bit in between and let the kitten out of The Room for a little while. I think he's scared of Ralph because she's starting to do a lot of hissing and he's starting to do a lot of hiding. I just hope this isn't the start of another Grendel Fiasco. That would be so sad.

I want Fin to be scared of Ralph a little bit so he stays out of her way and she can keep her territory, but I don't want him to be hiding out all the time. Oh well, these things take time. We'll see what happens. Right now he's too busy being the cutest kitten ever.

I guess it's my turn to make dinner at the hacienda, so I should probably see what's available. We could always eat KITTEN!! (I think Daedalus would like to. He's always looking at Fin and licking his mighty chops!)

Okay, enough posting about cats, I suppose. Ciao!

I want a new kitten! And yours is, in all honesty, about the cutest damned thing ever.

However, MY Jen(ny) has put a ban in place on any new creatures. We have to wait for one to croak before any new kittens or puppies can be brought home...

Well, y'alls do have many more pets than we have. So you will have to settle for coming to visit the kitten anytime. And I need to visit my step-Scout!

um, kittens are the best. especially when they're on your lap or on your shoulder or sleeping on your head. i asked for more kittens, but i was told three is enough. but you can never have enough kittens!

What is it about Ralph that makes her go psycho upon the introduction of new cats?

Calicos are, by nature, crazier than other cats and also have a tendency to be aggressive. Not sure why - perhaps something to do with calico-ism. Also, female cats are much more territorial than male cats, and when Grendel entered our household, she was an unspayed female who was also a firecracker. It was a bad, bad scene.

I hope this goes much better. So far, it definitely is.
